Will this scary road ever end?

So again with the driving.  We left Route 101 to take the more scenic route 1 down the coast.  And it is scary.  Like, drive off a cliff and die scary.  You can't tell how scary it is from this picture.  The nice thing is there are lots of turn-outs for slower drivers.  And about 1/3 of the Cali people who drove past us gave us a little "beep beep" when they went by, which we took to mean "thanks for pulling over, slow Alaska car!"

Scary road.

Looking like she belongs on a California beach.  We just really needed to get out of the car at this point.  And there was cell service here, so I made reservations for Disneyland.

This is Cassie touching the sting ray at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Selfie in a clamshell!  Also at Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Selfie with Penguins!  Seem them back there?

Whale made out of plastic trash.  Cassie commented on our way out of the Monterey Bay Aquarium that she felt they were trying to make us feel guilty.  Don't eat sushi, or eel, or farmed fish, and stop throwing all that plastic trash in the ocean.

The Jelly Zone is rather psychedelic.

Alas, it's a weekend in California, so there was no room for us at the Pismo Beach campground.  Rats.  We ended up at the Holiday Inn in Santa Maria.  I love it here and we are never leaving.  This room is bigger than my house.

Oh, wait.  I don't have a house!
