My favorite part--the introductory video featuring Pat Sajak!
Here's Cassie practicing the swearing in speech for later.
And here's George.
On our way through Maryland we saw signs for the national shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. We enjoyed walking through this peaceful place! Many beautiful statues and mosaics along the forested paths.
And the view was lovely, as well!
Third state of the day --Pennsylvania! I had asked Cassie if she'd like to go to Hershey Park, and she got very excited, so here we are. When we arrived and I said "oh, there are the roller coasters over there." And she was like "there's roller coasters?!?"
Yes, she was excited about the chocolate. The roller coasters were an added bonus. Since we arrived late in the day, we were able to purchase tickets at a reduced price. A few hours was enough time. The lines were not long. We rode six roller coasters and the Kissing Tower (there was no kissing, just views of Hershey as you spin up to the top and back down). Hershey Park is not Disneyland. Figuring out where to get on each of the rides was a challenge. And it was very loud. Loud roller coasters, loud music, loud guests.
By then we'd had enough and were ready to go to the World of Chocolate. There's a fun chocolate factory tour with singing cows, and then we bought candy.
Good night from Hershey!
