the christmas decorations are down. the christmas cards are FINALLY done and ready to mail. the painting is done in cassie's room. and i've made my new year's resolution: become an expert drummer on guitar hero so arnold's friends will think i'm cool.
we spent new year's eve at the sitka high jazz band party where arnold played bass guitar for most of the three hours. a much smaller and much younger crowd than last year's party. even the "gourmet desserts" didn't look as good as last year. i gotta say -- i was glad cassie brought her DS! cassie, kent and i all took turns playing carnival games.
it's been nice having these last two weeks off. it will also be nice to get back into our routine.

When do we get to see Cassie's room?
New Year's is kind of a strange holiday I think. It only last's for a moment then it's over and off to bed. I would also like to see Cassie's new room!
I love it when things finally go back to normal. I like the Christmas Holiday, but also am so relieved when it is over!
