if you happen to have a small child handy, could you ask them if this snack would pass for a beluga whale?
next weekend is whalefest in sitka, and today i found the CUTEST whale cupcakes in a book i bought at the scholastic book fair. unfortunately the body of the whale is made with a twinkie covered in frosting. adorable, but really not a healthy choice for preschoolers. so cassie and i went to the store and bought bananas and nilla wafers. the whale is resting on a sea of marshmallow fluff (marshmallow cream mixed with cream cheese and blue food coloring).

At first glance Gunner thought it was an airplane but he said his next guess was a whale. Awesome!!! I love how creative you are.
It is cute! Or you could use raisins for the eyes, making them bigger.
